Today is my one day a week when I take it somewhat easy. I still went for a 3 mile run this morning before breakfast, but the rest of the day I pretty much take it easy. The one thing I am comfortable about is the effort I am putting in each week and the way I’m leading my life, so I enjoy Sunday’s.
What you don’t want to have happen is that you do nothing all week, then Sunday comes and you say you’ll get it going on Monday. If that is the case then there is no time like the present and you should use Sunday as the day to kick off your week. For me, I meet with my trainer every Monday and we set the plan for the week. I already that he is going to kick my butt tomorrow because we have somewhat of a short week. I have to travel up to New York in the early part of the week, so we are going to have a hard workout for sure on Monday and then plan out the rest of the week as the schedule dictates.
One thing I never compromise on is food though. As I’ve mentioned several times, you can workout all you want, but if you don’t eat right then you’re only fighting half the battle. As you can tell by now, I am a big fan of chicken and salmon and I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. It sounds corny, but it’s true. What’s that old cliché…garbage in, garbage out. That’s what I think about. So for me, eating junk just doesn’t tempt me or come into my mind that much.
Tomorrow I hoping to lay out my entire workout schedule for the week so you can see what we plan for on a typical Monday so I know where I will end up by the end of the week…
